Editorial policy

This policy states how content on Alta Capital Desk is produced and who cannot change it. It lists no staff and no review board, because we claim none.

Clauses

Six clauses

Production, funding, corrections.

  1. Content

The site publishes articles and calculators. Both are educational, and neither is written for one reader. No page is a personal recommendation. A piece on retirement accounts explains how each works; it does not tell you which to choose.

  2. AI assistance

AI tools help draft and structure articles, and they can produce errors. We claim no expert review, no fact-checking and no credentials for any page. We publish no bylines. Read each page with that in mind.

  3. Calculators

Each calculator puts its assumptions on the page; it runs in your browser. No calculator sends its inputs to us. A savings-runway calculator, for example, states the monthly shortfall and cost growth it assumes; change the inputs to test another scenario. Output is an illustration.

  4. Advertising

The site shows ads. Advisors pay for introductions. Advertisers and paying advisors do not choose, pay for or change what is written, and no advertiser or advisor can buy a mention. An ad is not an endorsement.

  5. Corrections

Report an error through the contact page. State the page and the figure. The page is corrected.

  6. Reader responsibility

Use articles as background, and do not treat a scenario as a plan. Check facts that affect a decision with a licensed professional. Confirm dates, rates and limits with the source. Confirm terms with your lender, bank or plan provider before you act on an article about credit or accounts.
